Vintage Design

On four slim, conical rectangular legs with brass rollers and sabots standing table corpus with two -way and adjustable plate, which in turn contains a smaller writing plate covered with black gold -shaped leather, which can be set up separately if necessary. The body houses a large drawer with a triple interior for writing utensils. Both sides cover excerpts with veneered panels on which candle holders could be parked. There is a central brass button above the drawer, with which the table top can be adjusted upwards. The upper cover plate can be set up in different angles, so that a standing desk for writing, drawing or reading results. In the folded condition, the table appears as an elegant Louis XVI-Bureau Plat or consoled. His name “à la tronchin” owes this transformation furniture théodore tronchin (Geneva 1709-paris 1781), a doctor of the 18th century, who pronounced the recommendation with unconventional methods, to work and half standing To lean against a high stool or chair because this is far more beneficial for general health – which made it into her ergonomics, as taken for granted in the design of our time.
