Pegma Bookcase by Joachim-Morineau Studio Dimensions: H 120 x D 190 x W 30 cm, 45 kg Materials: Anodized aluminium (colour Champagne) tubes and profiles, Getacore GC3011 merano cream sheet PEGMA is a bookcase inspired by Roman aqueducts such as the Pont du Gard in France. We mainly were inspired by the pillars rhythms and interspaces found in the conventional aqueduct architectures. From spacious intervals on the ground level to smaller ones on the higher ones. The etymology of the word PEGMA can be found in the ancient greek and Latin languages: its meaning is “bookcase”. Studio Joachim-Morineau is a design studio founded by Carla Joachim (FR) and Jordan Morineau (FR), based in Eindhoven (NL). Their work is a mix of crafts, industrial techniques and technology. They use experimentation to push the limits of each field.
