Vintage Design
An original 1970s armchair made in the Czechoslovakian communist era and this piece was seen as the height of luxury. It was almost impossible to buy them, they were used mainly for posh hotels and bars. They were also very popular among the Communist Party members who wouldn’t hesitate to get them for their own villa homes.
Designed with extended head rest, this armchair is both comfortable and gives the sitter a sense of privacy and personal space.
The steel base of the chair allows for swivelling and shows signs of some wear. The chair has been cleaned and treated with a special agent for leather. The leather parts are cracked in some places, but the faux leather body is in excellent condition.
