Simple. Roomy. Versatile. Studio140 aimed to create a bookshelf without well-defined borders, which was not enclosed in an established space. They wanted the shelves, made by aging beautiful wooden planks in a color that never tires, to play with the wall so as to integrate with every environment; they wanted a structure that would be noticed but would not disturb this game. The Scenografia bookshelf is not a place to forget one’s books, but a lively place, born to accommodate not only books but also the most expensive objects without limits of space, just like a set design, which allows the user to exchange objects so as to condition the environment of one’s emotions.
