Shelf Wall System By Nils Strinning For String, 1950s

Original String shelf designed in 1949 by Nils Strinning in Esche Furnier. The system consists of six metal ladders in white with three shelves, two containers with sliding doors, a container with a folding door, many compartments and three internal drawers and two magazine shelves. The original lamp has received a new lampshade in cream white and has been re -wired.

This original string shelf is much better processed and of a better quality than many wall shelves that came onto the market in the 50s/60s.

– 2 cm thick shelves made of carpenter plates that prevent bending
– Stable holder on the shelves that compensate for slight bumps
